Final Movie

FINAL THREE IMAGES

These are my three final images of my finished Movie.
Many obsticals were overcome throughout this process, and i am really happy with the final outcome!

CHOSEN CONCEPT: Importing Composition Model into Cry Engine

Getting to know how to use Cry Engine, and looking at the time of day - shadowing is made quite apparent in this image, could be taken in a night scene if wanted to

Looking closer at the detail inside the model. There will be plenty of exploring to do when it comes to filming for the movie

Here i was figuring out how to enlarge, rotate and move, moving my model from the ground to the sky

Overall Model in Cry engine. This imported over perfectly, the colours are off, but i can change this if i decide to later on

Moving through the inside of my Model, bottom, underneath

Looking at inside of the model

Looking at the Model with a smaller model in the center

Initially i wanted to use my contrast model from the first half of the project, and during the process of developing and trying to export into cry engine i came across problems which lead me into making a whole new model in which wasn't as successful as the initial model. My model wasnt inhabiting the space well enough and with the way the model was built meant you couldn't explore it very well. I decided to move onto my composition model as there was a lot of potential and room for improvement. I started out exploring the model on the ground but came to the conclusion it was more successful in the air. My model is round so get the dynamic flow through and around the model was only successful in the air. The sense of flying rather than walking was more interesting as flying you loose all sense of where you are in the model which i quite like. Due to my model being quite complex and busy, animating it might be too much to watch. Im still thinking of ways around this. I have considered adding in one of my other models to give more to move through but this model is definitely enough on its own so probably wont go though with that idea. I initially had the model quite small making it hard to move through but after figuring out how to enlarge the model, its made it much better to move through, still giving a close view of the inside detail. Really happy with the way things are coming together!

Initial re do of my Contrast model

This was creating the Model in sketch up, before adding colour. Just playing with composition and layout

These two images show that i added the transparency, but as you can see it becomes quite hard to see through the individual tunnel like figure and into others like i wanted

Exported into Cry engine. The materials didn't follow through with the export so i needed to add colour.
I then tried making in transparent but wasn't successful at all

Walking around model with colour, this colour dosnt show much detail because of the darkness but gives a feel for how big the model is and seeing how it would have been possible to walk through it. Potential

Further development and Ideas

Further things to develop on or even consider, in cry engine

New Model

When trying to export my Contrast Model it wasnt able to appear in cry engine due to the faces, so i tried to re create another model similar with same characteristics with double walls, but because of the thickness of the walls the transparency effect wasn't so effective because you couldn't see through the double thickness, creating a model which was pretty boring to explore. I have decided to go with the model here, as there is a lot to explore here in and out of the model, also working in cry engine

Video of one hour project could not be uploaded to my blog, due to technical issues
