CHOSEN CONCEPT: Importing Composition Model into Cry Engine

Getting to know how to use Cry Engine, and looking at the time of day - shadowing is made quite apparent in this image, could be taken in a night scene if wanted to

Looking closer at the detail inside the model. There will be plenty of exploring to do when it comes to filming for the movie

Here i was figuring out how to enlarge, rotate and move, moving my model from the ground to the sky

Overall Model in Cry engine. This imported over perfectly, the colours are off, but i can change this if i decide to later on

Moving through the inside of my Model, bottom, underneath

Initially i wanted to use my contrast model from the first half of the project, and during the process of developing and trying to export into cry engine i came across problems which lead me into making a whole new model in which wasn't as successful as the initial model. My model wasnt inhabiting the space well enough and with the way the model was built meant you couldn't explore it very well. I decided to move onto my composition model as there was a lot of potential and room for improvement. I started out exploring the model on the ground but came to the conclusion it was more successful in the air. My model is round so get the dynamic flow through and around the model was only successful in the air. The sense of flying rather than walking was more interesting as flying you loose all sense of where you are in the model which i quite like. Due to my model being quite complex and busy, animating it might be too much to watch. Im still thinking of ways around this. I have considered adding in one of my other models to give more to move through but this model is definitely enough on its own so probably wont go though with that idea. I initially had the model quite small making it hard to move through but after figuring out how to enlarge the model, its made it much better to move through, still giving a close view of the inside detail. Really happy with the way things are coming together!
